Software Development Expertise

What we work with, and why the list looks like this

We are a web-focused software development company, and the technologies below are the ones we use often enough to have opinions about. That is a deliberate limit. A list of forty logos tells you nothing except that someone wanted the page to look impressive, so this one only covers work we would be comfortable being judged on.

If your stack is not here, it is worth asking anyway — adjacent experience often transfers. If we are the wrong fit, saying so early costs you less than finding out in month two.

Frontend

The browser layer: what users see, and where perceived quality is either won or lost.

Backend

Where the data, rules and integrations live, and where a bad decision is most expensive to reverse.

  • Backend development — API design, data modelling, messaging and operability.
  • .NET — typed, fast services, and a well-trodden path for modernising older .NET Framework applications.
  • Node.js — one language across the stack, and a good fit for real-time and API aggregation.
  • Java — long-lived, domain-heavy systems where maintainability outranks novelty.
  • Python — web APIs, data pipelines, machine learning and automation.

Cross-platform applications

One codebase, several targets — when the alternative is building and maintaining the same product two or three times.

  • Cross-platform app development — how we choose between these options for a given product.
  • React Native — native-feeling iOS and Android from a shared codebase.
  • Ionic — web technology in an app store build, strong when a web app already exists.
  • Electron — desktop applications for Windows, macOS and Linux.
  • Mobile and desktop — the trade-offs on each side compared directly.

How the work is run

Technology choice is the easier half. How work is planned, reviewed and delivered is what determines whether a project stays predictable.

  • Agile delivery — Scrum, Kanban and SAFe, and which one suits which kind of work.
  • Remote software development — distributed delivery, time zones and handover in practice.
  • Outstaffing — engineers embedded in your team, your process and your backlog.
  • Outsourcing — a scoped piece of work we take responsibility for delivering.

Not sure which of these you need?

That is a normal position to be in, and choosing the stack is part of the job rather than a prerequisite for talking to us. Describe the problem and the constraints — deadline, budget, the team you already have, the systems it must fit into — and we will come back with a recommendation and the reasoning behind it. Start on custom software development, or go straight to contact us.
